Granger Music Hall
1700 E. 4th Street, National City

While there is no change in status for this early masterpiece by architect Irving Gill in the Port of San Diego's master plan and the building continues to deteriorate, there is still ripe opportunity for the Port and National City to partner in relocating Granger Hall to its intended permanent home, the City's Pepper Park. In May 2021, discussion of expanding Pepper Park at a community workshop included moving Granger Hall. While nothing has been decided, SOHO continues to advocate for its relocation and rehabilitation via the master and park expansion planning processes, so music can once again be heard from the acoustically perfect Granger Music Hall.
