After a Sold-Out Opening Concert -
Music at the Marston Continues in July and August 2026
July/August 2026
Music at the Marston got off to a wonderful start in June with a sold-out concert in the estate’s historic rose garden and an enthusiastic audience that filled the afternoon with energy, applause, and appreciation for the artists. Guests enjoyed an intimate concert experience where outstanding music, storytelling, and the beauty of the entire Marston House Gardens combined to create a memorable summer afternoon.
Overheard after the concert, one tearful listener said, "Those songs really touched me. What a wonderful event." Peter Bolland's final song was especially moving: The crowd joined in to sing along on Bob Dylan's “The Times They Are A-Changin'.”
Musician Cara Cormier noted, "Performing at the Marston is truly a magical experience! To share original music in this picturesque setting at one of San Diego's premiere historic landmarks is truly a musician's dream."
The excitement continues on July 17 with singer-songwriters DEIDRE, Omar Musisko, and Will Stucky taking the stage. Then, on August 21, we’ll welcome The Winter Sisters, made up of Cathryn Beeks, Sandé Lollis, and Bonnie Nicholls.
Interest in the series remains strong, and both the July and August concerts are already nearly half sold out.
If you're planning to attend, we encourage you to purchase tickets soon to ensure your place. With limited seating available in this intimate garden setting, advance reservations are highly recommended.
Join us for an afternoon of exceptional local music while supporting both San Diego's arts community and SOHO's work to preserve the historic places that enrich our region.

Founded by two artists, SOHO has long maintained a close connection to the arts, beginning with the art of architecture. With its history of music and dance, the Marston House provides a fitting setting for these performances, reflecting George Marston’s enduring support and appreciation of the arts. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations benefit both the musicians and arts and culture programming at the Marston House.
While you are here, take time to visit the Marston House Museum Shop, which will be open for pre- and after-concert shopping. Consider becoming a SOHO member to save $5 on each ticket and receive a year-round 15% discount in the shop. Best of all, your purchases help support historic preservation.
Bring your own lawn chair or blanket for comfort, and feel free to pack your own snacks and drinks—no refreshments will be served. Hats, sunscreen, and extra water are a good idea! Please help us care for the gardens by packing out what you bring in.
