THREE OVERLAPPING PERIODS of California history are represented in the rooms of the adobe: Native American, Californio, and American.

The restoration has won more than a dozen major awards, including the Governor's Award, for the collective work of VID, SOHO, the architects, archeologists, adobe craftsmen, and the many other professionals.

Today, SOHO, as the operator of the museum, continues to work on the completion of the Warner-Carrillo Ranch House restoration and on furnishing the house. Funds for this work are raised through museum admissions, events, and private donations. Much of the final restoration work is being done by staff.
