1905-1909
This list of over 560 plants purchased from nurseryman Ernst Bernard documents the estate's earliest plantings, layout and design. It is safe to say, however, that plants were also sourced from others at this time, including from Marston's friend Kate O. Sessions, the noted horticulturalist and nursery owner.
