Shop on Museum Store Sunday!
By Dean Glass
November/December 2023

Join us Sunday, November 26, 2023, as we celebrate Museum Store Sunday, presented by the Museum Store Association, an annual shopping campaign that directly supports arts and cultural institutions across the globe.

Open 10am-4pm on Sunday, the Marston House Museum Shop invites you to explore our hand-selected offerings of high-quality gifts, brimming with inspiration and educational value. And with every purchase, you’ll play an active role in contributing to the success of the Marston House Museum and its cultural programming.

Your selection of gifts and irresistible treasures from our museum shop is more than a personal indulgence. It's a commitment to preserving the museum's service to the public and championing the talented artisans whose work SOHO embraces. This tradition is a tribute to the enduring legacy of the Marston family and their dedication to nurturing the arts, a tradition SOHO proudly continues.

New Arrivals
Introducing Heartell Press, a business run by women that offers eco-friendly cards and gifts for when you want to show someone you care during tough times. They use environmentally friendly materials and feature simple block-print illustrations. Heartell Press believes it’s our relationships that produce happiness, and they make items that help us connect with others. Their products are made with care, adding extra meaning to the moments you share with loved ones.

Explore our fine selection of beautiful journals and notebooks from Peter Pauper Press, started in 1928 by a young man named Peter Beilenson in his parents' basement in Larchmont, New York. Today it’s a family-run business dedicated to making high-quality, affordable books.

And don’t let any rain dampen your style when you can carry a high-quality umbrella from our striking selection from Signare Tapestry. Choose from famous designs by Mackintosh, William Morris, and Walter Crane.

Gifts for Men
In the world of men's formal attire, bow ties have taken the lead over neckties. Bow ties have expanded their influence beyond weddings and black-tie affairs, becoming increasingly popular for professional attire. Unlike neckties with various widths, bow ties possess a timeless appeal at formal occasions, making them a stylish and reliable choice.

At the Marston House Museum Shop, we offer two exceptional lines of bow ties. The Belfast Bow Company of Northern Ireland provides handsome bow ties in paisley and floral patterns. Fox & Chave also offers fashionable bow ties, and for those not quite ready to embrace the style, we carry their straight silk ties in patterns that include Morris and Mackintosh designs.

Keep your man smelling great with Bawston & Tucker Solid Cologne, available in four delightful fragrances, and maintain his skin's softness with their Hand & Skin Rescue Balm, too.

Don't forget that SOHO members enjoy a 15% discount on shop merchandise. If you're not already a member, join SOHO as an individual in person on Museum Store Sunday for just $25 (regularly $40) and instantly receive your discount!
