Kids Free San Diego Turns 15!
September/October 2026
Celebrate the 15th anniversary of Kids Free San Diego this October with a family visit to SOHO's Marston House Museum & Gardens or Warner–Carrillo Ranch House Museum. Children 12 and under receive free admission with a paid adult throughout October when you present a Kids Free coupon.
At the Marston House, young visitors can explore an authentic 1905 Arts and Crafts house and imagine how the Marston family lived at a time when they were prominent figures in San Diego. At Warner–Carrillo, they can step into an 1857 adobe ranch house and discover the story of California’s early ranching, cowboy life, and the stagecoach era.
An annual event of the San Diego Museum Council, Kids Free San Diego opens the doors to more than sixty diverse museums throughout the county. SOHO invites you to bring your family to our city and backcountry sites for two memorable outings.

Have a Teen? Introduce Them to Preservation!
For kids ages 13–17, SOHO offers free Young Preservationists memberships, connecting the next generation with San Diego’s historic places through events, tours, learning opportunities, community service, and more. Members also receive complimentary admission to SOHO programs, exhibitions, and guided tours. Help a young person discover the stories worth preserving!
