Get Ready for the 2025 People In Preservation Awards!

It’s almost time! On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, SOHO will unveil the winners of the 42nd annual People In Preservation Awards (PIP), and this year’s group is nothing short of extraordinary.
The 2025 PIP Awards honor 13 people, places, and projects that exemplify the very best in historic preservation. From passionate individuals safeguarding San Diego’s cultural heritage to ambitious restorations that breathe new life into beloved landmarks, these stories underscore why preservation matters and how it continues to impact our region now and in the future.
Since 1983, the PIP Awards have celebrated more than 700 honorees whose achievements protect the essence and soul of San Diego. Each year, the winners inspire us with their creativity, dedication, and vision, showing how much can be accomplished when we take proper care of the historic places that give our communities meaning and character.
This year, we’re celebrating with a special multi-platform announcement campaign. Watch for the official unveiling, complete with feature stories and photos highlighting each winner’s contributions
These prestigious awards are about recognition and inspiration at the highest level. They remind us that preservation is a community effort, and they highlight what’s possible when individuals and organizations step forward to protect and preserve the places we love.
