This October, treat your family to a real frontier adventure at the Warner-Carrillo Ranch House Museum in Warner Springs. As part of the San Diego Museum Council’s annual Kids Free in October program, children 12 and under receive free admission with a paid adult at SOHO’s historic sites all month long.
At the Warner-Carrillo Ranch House, kids can step inside an authentic 1857 adobe and picture life in the Old West. They’ll imagine stagecoaches pulling up in a cloud of dust, travelers stopping to rest along the Southern Emigrant Trail, and ranch families working hard to keep the homestead running. Our knowledgeable tour guide shares colorful stories that make the past feel vivid and exciting for visitors of all ages. With its period furnishings and wide-open grounds, the site sparks curiosity and brings California’s frontier history to life in a way that feels like an adventure.
First, get your coupon from the San Diego Museum Council. The coupon and one paid adult admission (just $5) open the ranch house door to that person and one to two children (12 and under), who visit free.
