Explore Bankers Hill with New Digital Tree Walks from CFAB
May/June 2025
The City of San Diego’s Community Forest Advisory Board (CFAB) recently formed a new Community Outreach subcommittee. One priority is to highlight the value of street trees in contributing to neighborhood happiness and livability.
Now, a charming and easy-to-use digital pilot program called Our Happy Tree Walks and featuring Bankers Hill, is available to all. Find four self-guided walks through this historic neighborhood.
Each walk is designed to be enjoyed on foot and navigated on a smartphone or tablet, complete with maps, photos, and short descriptions.
The walks shine a light on the neighborhood’s beautiful street trees, historic architecture, and small businesses, all of the elements that make Bankers Hill such a vibrant and attractive place to live, work, and visit.
There are no commercial ties, and the tours are completely free to explore. Feedback is welcome throughout April 2025 at the Our Happy Tree Walks website, as CFAB considers ways to refine this effort and potentially expand it to other communities across San Diego.
We invite you to be among the first to take a walk among the trees!
