Historic Homes Designation Workshop
March/April 2017
If you own a home that is 45 years or older, it may qualify for historic designation. Bring a picture of your home and any questions you have and talk to the experts who will at the Historic Homes Designation Workshop.
At the workshop, you will learn about designation criteria, how and where to conduct archival research, and how to analyze the information you have uncovered. You will also learn how to write up your findings for City review and learn the benefits and responsibilities of historic home ownership. If you find that this seems like more than you want to take on, there will be specialists there who do the designation reports professionally. You'll be able to meet them and ask any questions you may have.
The workshop will be held at the Wisteria Cottage Saturday, March 18 from 9am to 12 noon. Fee of $15 LJHS Members / $20 General Public also includes a Historic Designation Project Tool Kit with everything you need to get started on getting your home designated. Click HERE to register.
