Many people still don’t fully understand what historic preservation is or why it matters for San Diego’s housing, climate resilience, and community character.

To help change that, we’ve created a new series of simple, easy-to-share infographics that break down the basics in a quick, visual way. Share these graphics in neighborhood spaces—Nextdoor, Instagram, Facebook groups, anywhere your community gathers.

The more San Diegans understand preservation’s real role in housing, sustainability, and community identity, the more likely we are to see better decisions made for our city’s future.
