Jake Enriquez
Stewardship

Jake Enriquez works for the County of San Diego, Parks and Recreation Department. When first assigned to the Rancho Guajome Adobe he researched the house, history, and family and undertook rigorous maintenance standards for the various projects involved with maintaining this historic site.

Promoted District Park Manager, he was given additional responsibilities including the Rancho Peñasquitos Ranch house, the Whaley House complex, and other sites. He used his many skills and talents to find funding, restore, rehabilitate and maintain the historic resources that are under his care. From the renovation of the Verna House in Old Town to Rancho Guajome and everything in between that he has been involved with, he displays excitement, devotion and commitment to and gives extraordinary care to these public resources. A tireless worker and a real friend to the community and to SOHO, we honor Jake Enriquez with the Stewardship, "Beyond the Call of Duty" award.
