Ann Jarmusch Ann Jarmusch's passionate and compelling articles in the San Diego Union have been a tremendous help in getting SOHO's message out to the public. Of most recent significance were her articles on the Red Rest and Red Roost; there have rarely been preservation articles of such high quality in a publication outside the historic preservation field. Ann has been an avid supporter of preservation, and thankfully, she doesn't shy away from expressing those opinions in print. By sharing her opinions, she brings preservation issues into the arena of public debate. The jury commented that Ann's design criticism elevates our cultural awareness about the state of our built environment, both contemporary and historic. |
