Workshop: Day of the Dead Face Painting

Get ready to celebrate the Day of the Dead by learning how to transform your face into a traditional sugar skull. Show your spirit with this dramatic and attention grabbing look. A beautiful application of makeup with individual style will be taught in a 2-hr class that will teach you all the skills and tips you need to create your own Day of Dead look and prepare you for traditional regalia the celebration on Nov 1 and 2!

Taught by Esmeralda Prieto, a native San Diegan with local family linage that dates back to the Californios, an artist whose mediums include makeup artistry, painting, and photography. Esmeralda hosts an online channel that teaches viewers makeup application, beauty and fashion tips, as a well as various crafting projects. Most notably known for her work embellishing the traditional Día De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) sugar skull design. She has been featured in numerous blogs and online magazines, such as, Latina Magazine and Beautylish.
